Inspiring Stories is partnering with the Cullen Breakfast Club to co-host a breakfast in Wellington on Tuesday 24th July. These breakfasts have a long-standing and impressive track record in Wellington having hosted all kinds of dignitaries and thought-leaders. The breakfast is in celebration of Festival for the Future and the future of our nation, and you'll get the chance to hear from four speakers including our very own CEO and two amazing alumni.

Speakers for the event are:

Sir Anand Satyanand – Former Governor General of New Zealand
Our principal speaker is Sir Anand Satyanand. He graduated in law from Auckland University and at a very young age became a District Court judge. Later he was appointed an ombudsman. He was Governor General of New Zealand from 2006 to 2011. He then went on to chair the Commonwealth Foundation, the funding body for the 53 members of the Commonwealth with representation from each of those countries. He directed and guided funding into areas of need.

Bonnie Howland – Indigo & Iris – building a beauty company to help cure blindness
Bonnie co-founded Indigo and Iris – an ethical beauty company, after learning about a solo mother in Vanuatu suffering from treatable blindness. 50% of the profits go to support the Fred Hollows Foundation to perform restorative eye sight surgery. Bonnie and the team raised over $125,000 to launch their debut product, a mascara called Levitate.

Laura O'Connell Rapira – Campaigns Director at Action Station
Laura O’Connell Rapira is the Campaigns Director for Action Station. As a young Māori woman, activist and social entrepreneur, she has led and developed a number of campaigns on diverse topics including increasing youth voice and action on climate change.
