Event description

Description

Gifted Aotearoa is holding events across the country to ensure that gifted has a strong voice in the Curriculum, Progress and Achievement Review.

Join us to discuss what feedback we will be passing on to the Ministry of Education about these Emerging Ideas.

Respond to the ideas from the perspective of the gifted learner- use the word gifted please, how will it benefit them, support them, allow them to flourish.

Join the conversation on curriculum, progress and achievement

The Curriculum, Progress and Achievement Ministerial Advisory Group has nine emerging ideas for supporting an education system where all students and ākonga have the opportunity to learn and be successful – and it wants your feedback.

There are nine emerging ideas, and you can give feedback on one, two, or as many as you want to.

It’s important that we all take the opportunity to consider the ideas and tell the Ministerial Advisory Group (MAG) what we think.

Please reflect on the ideas, discuss them within your schools and whānau, and then submit your feedback through the Education Conversation website.

The feedback you give on the emerging ideas will help shape the MAG’s recommendations to the Minister at the end of the year. The ideas will then be tested and refined in partnership with schools, kura and the wider education sector.

Group and individual submissions can be made online through the Education Conversation website until 30 November.

Our organisation is part of the Reference Group providing input and guidance to the MAG. There are more than 40 organisations represented on the Reference Group, and many of us will be leading conversations within our networks to hear what you think, and feed that back to the MAG.

For more information, go to: www.conversation.education.govt.nz/conversations/curriculum-progress-and-achievement/

Please also keep an eye out for social media posts about the ideas and share them with your colleagues, networks and whānau.

Unsure what the Curriculum, Progress and Achievement Ministerial Advisory Group is all about?

Go to the Curriculum, Progress and Achievement page on the Education Conversation website. It has information about the Group, its ideas and how to give feedback.
