Learn about how we hear sound, what causes noise induced hearing loss and ear care through fun and interactive activities

About this event

Modern technology means today’s kids – and adults – are exposed to unprecedented levels of noise. Around 800,000 Kiwis suffer from some degree of hearing loss with approximately one in six- caused by noise-induced hearing loss, which is completely preventable.

We will have several fun activities set up including

What is Sound? an experiment using tuning forks to show what sound is.

Guess that Noise? Do you know how loud some common noises are

Ear Protection: What are ways we can protect our ears from Dangerous Decibels
