The Islamic Women’s Council of New Zealand is excited to announce the first workshop in our Deen & Design series — a Guided Painting Workshop in collaboration with Shafnaz.Gallery!
For all lovers of art and Islam, this workshop is curated to simplify painting techniques to recreate your own version of a famous artwork. Not only will you reimagine it but we will also embrace Islam into it making our own spin. This beginner friendly guided session is designed to teach you the comfort art has to offer leaving you with a beautiful piece you get to sign with your very own name and take home.
About the Artist
Shafnaz is a local based artist whose inspiration comes from all things nature. From mountains, clouds and oceans, her ideal outcomes in her work aim to create an idyllic and timeless world on canvas. Rooted with solitude and peace in art is what she aims to share with others.
