United States based New Zealander Emily Mwila is a soprano with the Chicago Lyric Opera Company. She is known for her commanding stage presence, beautiful tone and vibrant performances. She will be joined for two concerts by exciting countertenor Austin Haynes - winner of the Herald Sun Aria competition in Victoria Australia for emerging artists. Haynes is a former Arrowtown resident who has returned to New Zealand after studying and performing in Oxford England and Australia.
Acclaimed pianist Catherine Norton will be collaborating with Emily Mwila and Austin Haynes to create what is certain to be a very memorable event of spectacular and beautiful songs.
