Event description
A Digital Inclusion Research Forum is to be held at Te Papa in Wellington on Day Zero of NetHui, Wednesday 2 October 2019.

About this Event

The Forum provides an opportunity for digital inclusion researchers to come together, find out what others are doing and identify opportunities for collaboration.

Four one-hour themed sessions are being planned, each being introduced by two presenters, followed by discussion:

  • Understanding Digital Inclusion amongst digitally disadvantaged groups
  • The Government Digital Inclusion Research Agenda
  • Education and Equity of Access for Students
  • Towards a more digitally-included society

A special focus of the Forum will be on the Department of Internal Affair’s recently released Digital Inclusion Research Agenda and the opportunities this creates for researchers to contribute to the national digital inclusion agenda.

The Forum is being managed by a group of InternetNZ members with an interest in digital inclusion, including Laurence Zwimpfer and Barbara Craig from DIAA, Prof Miriam Lips from Victoria University of Wellington and Dr Ravi Sharma from the Centre for Inclusive Digital Enterprise at the University of Canterbury.

You must register if you wish to attend.
