About this event

Science & Tech • Other

In this presentation, Jono Dymock, a Senior Structural Engineer at WSP, will share how they approached the seismic assessment of the heritage-listed 1880s Dunedin Municipal Chambers building and the 1920s Town Hall and Glenroy Auditorium. Using ETABS software for structural elastic modelling and LS-Dyna software for advanced nonlinear dynamic simulations, they developed a digital workflow that allowed them to visualise, analyse, and communicate the building’s seismic performance.

This presentation will also feature Mike Restall, Project Manager at the Dunedin City Council, who will provide insights into the broader challenges and achievements experienced throughout the course of the project.
