Event description
This seminar is for not-for-profits in the Dunedin area wanting to learn more about how to support people with disabilities.

About this Event

Proudly supported by Volunteering Otago - Disability Information Service Access Advisor and Educator, John Marrable, will talk about the issues facing people with disabilities and how best not-for-profits can support them.

Participants can expect to learn practical solutions to support people, as well as identify parts of their own organisation that may not be well suited to people with disabilities.

About the facilitator: John Marrable is a well-respected athlete and advisor for the not-for-profit sector and local council. Originally from England, he became paraplegic in 1967, but lives life to its fullest, moving to NZ in 1974, becoming a black belt in karate and an instructor. John has been with Disability Information Services for several year.
