Event description
This session of Disarm Kōrero #11 will debrief on the NPT Review Conference and look towards the 1MSP TPNW. All welcome!

About this event

For this session of Disarm Kōrero #11 we will be discussing two very important international disarmament conferences: the outcomes from The Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty Review Conference (NPT RevCon) which was held at the UN in January, and we'll be looking towards the First Meeting of States' Parties for the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons, which is being held in Vienna in March (22-24th).

We are delighted to be joined by two guest speakers, both NZ experts in the field of disarmament, Tessa Versteeg from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade (International Security and Disarmament Division) and Tim Caughley, a former UN and NZ disarmament official. We'll be discussing what happened at the NPT RevCon, what the NZ Government worked on on and also looking towards the TPNW 1MSP and how plans are coming together for this first meeting of states.

Please tune in to join the discussion, or you're also welcome to just listen in. All welcome!
