LAUNCH OF CAPABILITY AUDIT REPORT

The Superdiversity Centre for Law, Policy and Business invites you to attend the launch of the Diverse Think(ing) Tank and its Diverse Thinking Capability Audit of New Zealand Board Rooms 2018 on 22 August 2018.

WHY A DIVERSE THINKING CAPABILITY AUDIT?

New Zealand is small, and we need to maximise the value of diverse thinking so our companies can compete with the best in the world, despite our size, small talent pool and distance from market. In order to maximise the value of diverse thinking, we need to understand what it means and how best to leverage it.

In the Diverse Thinking Capability Audit of New Zealand Board Rooms 2018, Mai Chen interviews over fifty of New Zealand's key governance chairs, directors and executive search firms to assess New Zealand's current diverse thinking capability, what we can do better, and how leadership needs to be taken to improve diverse thinking in New Zealand board rooms.

The Hon. Grant Robertson, Minister of Finance, Minister of Sport and Recreation, and Associate Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage, will launch the Capability Audit report. We will also hear the key wisdom from top directors interviewed about why diverse thinking matters and how best to improve such thinking in New Zealand board rooms. Mai Chen will present on new tools to grow and measure diverse thinking in the board room.
