Event description

Description

Sam Lang is farmer, research advisor and member of the farmer group Quorum Sense. He completed a Nuffield Scholarship in 2016 and came away with a strong belief that each farming community needed to determine and drive their own direction and innovation.

Sam has spent much of the last few years learning from farmers, scientists and practitioners around the world that are pioneering new farming systems and practices, including 'regenerative farming'. He works with NZ farmers (such as the Quorum Sense network) also engaged in this space to share learnings, develop practices and design research programmes to support better outcomes for rural communities.

He brings with him a couple of local farmers to share what they're doing on farm and to open up the discussion to the group.

Afternoon tea at 2:30pm to provide an opportunity to mingle or leave in time to get the kids from school
