The sustained development in this dynamic Pacific nation continues to offer opportunities for both investment and trade.

While the COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted Fiji’s economy, due to their swift action in eradicating the virus may be one of the first countries to reopen their borders to quarantine free travel with New Zealand.

As the ‘Hub of the Pacific’, in 2019 Fiji’s developing economy reached over $1 billion in two-way trade with New Zealand and received over 200,000 Kiwi visitors.

To find out about the exciting opportunities available in Fiji post COVID, join us for an informative and engaging seminar with guest speakers from:

• Fiji Trade Commission to New Zealand

• New Zealand Fiji Business Council

• Fiji High Commission to New Zealand

These speakers will highlight and discuss market potential in Fiji, and point you in the right direction to get things started.

If you’re looking to learn from someone who’s been there and done it, Todd Generation, who have recently invested in Sunergise NZ and Paula Ter Brake, General Manager of Tower Insurance’s Pacific operations will be sharing their own experiences of doing business into Fiji’s dynamic economy.

As one of New Zealand and the Pacific’s leading solar companies, Sunergise have a decade of experience in solar energy providing solar for businesses as well as working with the governments in New Zealand and the Pacific, including Fiji.

Operating in Fiji for over 140 years, Tower has 3 branches around the country and today is one of Fiji’s largest insurance companies. Now operating throughout the Pacific Islands, Tower have realised Fiji’s potential and plan to centralize their Pacific operations in Fiji’s capital, Suva.

You’ll also hear from the Hon. David Parker, Minister for Economic Development, Environment, Trade and Export Growth and Associate Minister of Finance, who will give an update on trading relations with Fiji and future plans to strengthen ties with our Pacific neighbour.

Fijian themed drinks and canapes will be served after the presentations where you will get the chance to network and talk one-on-one with the experts.

This is an incredible opportunity to connect with other New Zealand businesses operating in Fiji and gain a better understanding of how you too can establish a presence in the Pacific.
