Drive-In Movies at ASB Showgrounds - MAD MAX: FURY ROAD- Rated R16
Event Information
About this event
This is your chance to enjoy a very special experience:
Come early, park up, grab some food and drinks, tune in with your car radio and off we go. The 128m2 screen provides a good view and digital cinema projection guarantees top picture quality.
A few things to know:
- Gates open at 5:00pm / they close at 6:15pm and the movie starts at 6:30pm
-Come early, grab a good spot, and have a Lord of the Fries feast while waiting for the main event!
- There's no allocated parking: the earlier you come to closer to the screen you are. However, SUV's and bigger cars are parked further back as they obstruct viewing for smaller cars.
- The screen might be difficult to be seen from your backseats, and we don't recommend it. However, your ticket is per car but limited to the legal number of people allowed by NZTA.
- Make sure your radio is capable to receive our FM transmission (around the 88 range)
- Make sure you know how to turn your lights off, while the radio (or the engine) is running.
- If you have an EV, make sure your batteries are fully charged. There's no way to jump start those things.
- Please drive slow (no more than 5km/h) and follow the instructions of the traffic wardens
- Please provide your ticket at the entrance. There are no sales at the gate.
- Once you're parked, you have to stay until the movie is finished. In an emergency we'll get you out, but not the car!
