Event description
Join Dancing with the Stars Judge Camilla Sacre-Dallerup for a special workshop just for Teens - IT'S NOT YOU, IT'S ME - in NZ in November.

About this Event

"What if I told you that a difficult relationship - be it with a parent, a friend, a sibling - maybe a teacher or a coach, or even with your body - was sent your way as a challenge so you can find your way back to YOU?

As a child I loved my life, travelling to dance competitions, giving them my all, but my commitment to dancing made me different from most other children - and as every school child knows, being different makes you unpopular. I was so unpopular that it soon became a place to dread – like I didn’t fit in. If I'd had the right words - the right tools even - maybe I could have explained to the others what I did every day, and maybe that would have helped them warm to me. But, when you are a child, you don't know these things, so the more they teased and the more they left me out, the more withdrawn and defensive I became. Sound familiar?

Sometimes we are teased or bullied by friends or family who don't necessarily share our positive outlook. When all we really want is for the people close to us to be jumping up and down with excitement, they say negative things like. 'Do you think that's a wise idea?' or, 'That’s not really possible for you.' What we must remember is that comments like those are actually due to the limited beliefs of the people who make them. We can protect ourselves from them - the negativity not the people - with simple exercises and tools I have used throughout my career and that I'd love to share with you."

A fresh up-and-coming star on the mindful living world stage, Camilla already has two best-selling books Strictly Inspirational and Reinvent Me under her belt, with It’s Not You, It’s Me receiving rave early reviews prior to its release.

Passionate about inspiring and teaching others to live their very best life through her work as a life coach, hypnotherapist and meditation facilitator, Camilla’s mission is to ensure every person is armed with the tools and knowledge they need to reach their full potential.

Camilla doesn’t just speak her truth, she embodies it. Having spent 25 years as a professional athlete in the elite ranks of Ballroom Dancing, Camilla knows what it takes, not only to rise to the top, but also how to navigate the many challenges life can throw at you along the way. She is also a true masterclass in reinvention, moving seamlessly from the life of a high-flying celebrity to one dedicated to serving others.

As an LA-based life coach and hypnotherapist, Camilla supports many high-profile clients in her daily work, and has become a favourite amongst the corporate sector. Her openness and ability to engage effortlessly with people from all walks of life, means Camilla is also in popular demand as a motivational speaker and panel moderator.

Camilla is an NLP Master Practitioner Coach, Certified Hypnotherapist, Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) Instructor and Meditation Teacher. Prior to beginning her life-coaching and motivational speaking journey, Camilla was part of the inaugural stellar cast of the Strictly Come Dancing (the UK’s version of Dancing with the Stars) gracing the dancing floor for six years and winning the mirror ball trophy in 2008. For the past two years, she has also delighted New Zealand audiences as the Head Judge of Dancing with the Stars NZ.
