How can we keep children in the early years safe and thriving in Tauranga Moana?
This is an ignite hui – the first gathering to share ideas, passion, and hopes for working together to support families in their early years. Calling all professionals from the early years sectors, from maternity through to starting school.
We will have small group discussions and space for collaboration and networking. It’s all about coming together as a community – because it takes a village.
This is a space to come together, be aspirational about our mahi, and align our action.
About the organiser:
I am Helen Nijssen and I am a social worker who has been working in Tauranga Moana to keep children safe for the last 20 years. Through my journey I have been working my way upstream to stop harm happening in the first place. I now work with a new ACC Initiative called Hikitia! For our Future. My passion has always been child centered, and I'd love to see some familiar and new faces at our ignite hui, to talk about young children in our community.
Parking is available onsite and light refreshments will be provided.
