Educators and Enterprises Central
Date and time
After a successful pilot in 2021, we are once again taking teachers to the industry.
About this event
This trip around Stratford and Eltham enterprises is not just for careers advisors but all teachers. If you’re planning your school curriculum or if you’re someone who students look to for career advice this trip is for you.
Central Taranaki
We will be travelling by bus to Eltham to see how the award-winning cheese is made at Fonterra’s Bridge Street factory. Hear from food technology and cheese production staff about their career pathway. In the afternoon we’ll visit the dairy trust’s demonstration farm, and for lunch, we will visit Ngāti Ruanui Stratford Mountain House and hear about how they run their business.
What you’ll need to bring:
• Sturdy shoes that you don’t mind getting wet – foot bath is compulsory at Fonterra
• Gumboots are other shoes suitable for visiting a farm
• Your wallet (to snap up some cheese at the Eltham Cheese bar) and rain gear
• Pre Order – your morning coffee (when registering)
Numbers are limited and registrations are essential, so get your tickets now.
