Event Details

Eke Tangaroa celebrates the achievements of our Māori students at the University of Canterbury.

This event is an opportunity for our ākonga of Māori descent to be presented to their whānau, the Māori community and the University. Each student is presented with a prized pounamu specifically designed for Māori graduates at UC. The celebration for Māori Graduates and Graduands is not an official graduation ceremony so graduates are also encouraged to attend the UC graduation ceremonies. More information about UC graduation ceremonies including regalia hire.
