You’ll meet the Māori Development Team and hear from Tuākana Mentors about their own student experiences and life on campus.

In this presentation we explore emerging trends that have the potential to impact on the trajectory of te Ao Māori in to the future
Business
How culture can save business (and the world)
Culture is often seen as separate from business but more and more we are recognising that business and culture are closely related. Come and find out how different elements of culture can impact business, society and the environment in positive ways.

He waka eke noa: We are all in this waka of learning together.
Nau mai haere mai koutou katoa. Come along for a bit of fun while we talk together about how we can engage, inspire and empower our rangatira o āpōpō (our leaders of tomorrow).
Engineering
Prosthetics and Exoskeletons in Engineering
Learn how prosthetics are used to help amputees and stroke victims regain use of their hands and arms in this interactive session. You will get to see how prosthetic fingers are programmed to play a song on a keyboard.
Law
Who will stand up for the rights of our rivers?
Dr Elizabeth Macpherson’s interactive session will cover how law can be used to protect rivers as ‘people’ with the same sorts of rights that humans have – should nature be able to stand up for itself in court? She will also discuss some new strategies from around the world to face global problems like climate change and pollution.
