Event description
Join us for the only election forum where all political parties will discuss mental health, addiction and wellbeing.

About this Event

Mental health and addiction have been hot topics of conversation in the past three years, and there has been a lot of progress.

But we know there is more work to be done.

At this event we will ask each of the political parties what they intend to do for mental health, addiction and wellbeing if they are elected. It's also your opportunity to ask the questions you've always wanted answers to.

The following candidates have confirmed their attendance:

  1. Louisa Wall (Labour)
  2. Matt Doocey (National)
  3. Kyle McDonald (Greens)
  4. Jenny Marcroft (NZ First)
  5. Grae O’Sullivan (Act)
  6. A candidate from the Māori party is currently being confirmed

The event will be facilitated by Melissa Chan-Green, a News`hub Live at 6 presenter and reporter.

In the past, this event has been the only mental health and addiction focused event. This year for the first time we will be hosting it virtually, and we hope you can join us.

Once you've registered, you'll be sent a link to the Zoom event.

This event will be hosted by Platform Trust (Platform) and the regional Navigate networks. Platform champions the community sector in New Zealand as a positive place for people with mental health & addiction issues to live, learn, and work. The Navigate groups are regional groups of community organisations that provide mental health and addiction support in the communities where they are based.
