Uptown is full of musical people – home to iconic venues, recording studios and a thriving community of creatives. This May, in celebration of NZ Music Month, we present the Uptown Local Voices Series – a series of free, spontaneous pop-up gigs bringing live music to unexpected spots across the neighbourhood!
Discover the sound of Uptown at our series of performances, popping up in local cafés, community spaces and venues.
Performing Live: Eliette’s Music Academy
Join us at Brother’s Beer for a special showcase from Eliette’s Music Academy as they mark their 10th year!
EMA has spent the past decade delivering contemporary, play-based music education to students of all ages. From their beginning in Albany Village, the academy expanded to Uptown in 2022 and opened a third location at Botany Town Centre in May this year!
With over 1,000 students attending lessons each week, performance is at the heart of EMA’s teaching goals.
Join us for this live showcase featuring a selection of student performers sharing their talent with the Uptown community – a fantastic chance to hear the future of NZ Music.
