Event description
Learn this effective brief therapy, enhance your clinical skills, build client resilience and self-efficacy, reliably create lasting changes

About this Event

Emotional Freedom Techniques is a comprehensive mind-body strategy that rapidly neutralises unwanted thoughts, emotions and physical reactions. EFT combines somatic interventions derived from restorative acupressure self-applications with a range of cognitive interventions. The anxiety spectrum typifies the experience where emotions overrule thought. Fragmented memories get stored in the body. Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) discharges the restrictive emotional and physical reactivity freeing a path for clearer thinking and spontaneous cognitive and behavioural shifts. EFT is an evidence-based practice with over 100 published studies. One published study (J. of E.B. Int. Studies 2018) demonstrated a 37% decrease in cortisol (stress hormone) level and 40% reduction in Anxiety in the EFT group over a one-hour session. This effective brief therapy belongs in every mental health practitioner’s toolbox. Bring EFT into your practice, enhance your clinical excellence and treat resistant problems that other methods failed. This EFT workshop focuses on cutting-edge techniques to work with a range of common problems including:

  • Anxiety
  • Depression
  • Stress and Overwhelm
  • Panic, Fears and phobias
  • Chronic Pain and Illness
  • Trauma
  • PTSD
  • Performance

EFT belongs to a proposed new fourth wave of somatic therapies including EMDR, working with the trauma response encoded in the body. Essentially, these requires

  • A counter-intuitive engagement with the traumatic experience
  • Consciously pairing the traumatic state with a positive resource
  • Engaging in an amygdala calming process in the presence of the traumatic memory

Fourth wave somatic processes tend to work remarkably fast compared to analytic, cognitive and behavioural approaches, updating the brains learning pathways for lasting generalizing results.

These mind-body methods are emerging into mainstream mental health, trauma treatment, coaching, employee assistance programs and sport psychology arenas as a rapid, effective, non-invasive, calming, desensitizing tool. Do not miss this opportunity to learn evidence-based techniques you can use immediately with your clients and improve treatment outcomes rapidly.

Benefits of EFT for clients (and practitioners):

  • Demonstrable measurable results
  • Develop easy practical self-regulation skills
  • Builds emotional resilience and self-esteem
  • Accelerate progress towards goals
  • Dissolve obstacles, resistance and procrastination
  • Deepen spiritual connections
  • Improve self-awareness, listening and observational skills
  • Greater comfort in their own skin

To attain EFT practitioner certification and EFT International accreditation, participants are required to enter into a separate 6-9 month follow-on mentoring program which requires ongoing study, mentoring, practice sessions and both written and practical evaluations, at further cost.
