**This event is now a webinar for the theory components - we will update you when we are able to set a new date for the in-water components (Auckland only).**

We will be covering the following in the webinar.
- Theory session which covers our SOP, fish ID etc.
- How to give a briefing/ karakia
- How to kit up participants
- Leading a group
- Rescue scenarios
At 12pm we invite all volunteers to jump in for a social catch up for 30mins.
This event is designed to help train our volunteers for the upcoming season. Whether you are new this season or you feel like you need some additional training, all are welcome. Senior guides from last season are appreciated to help with the pool training.

When you register you will have the option to attend any part of the following.
9:00am to 11:00am - Introduction to EMR presentation at Dolphin Underwater Club rooms
11.00 to 11.30am - Catered lunch
11:30am to 12:00pm - Travel to Glenfield pools
12:00pm to 2:00pm - Pool based session at Glenfield Pools. Meet EMR by the trailer - location TBC to grab snorkel gear. Gear overview + swim/snorkel test + trial guiding session.
We will cover the following in the Pool Session and the introduction to EMR sessions:
- Theory session which covers our SOP, fish ID etc.
- How to give a briefing/ karakia
- How to kit up participants
- Leading a group
- Rescue scenarios
You will be marked and given a score which will give you your role for the upcoming season.

Land based
Kayak Support
Trainee Snorkel Guide
Assistant Snorkel Guide
Senior Snorkel Guide.
Please note that we will give you feedback and help you further your skills throughout the season. What ever role you have initially is just a starting point!
