Exhibition Overview
Exodus: Through the Doors of Time is a landmark exhibition commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1975 Māori Land March (Te Hikoi), led by Dame Whina Cooper. This pivotal event reshaped Aotearoa’s social and political landscape and continues to inspire movements for justice, equity, and land rights today.
Created by Dame Whina’s mokopuna, this exhibition pays tribute to her enduring legacy while exploring powerful themes of identity, belonging, intergenerational knowledge, and resilience.
