Oil paints are the most versatile, complex and nuanced of all the painting mediums. This course with artist and lecturer Julia Teale will introduce you to the extensive creative potential of painting as well as the immense technical variability of oil or acrylic painting as an expressive tool. During the course you will be guided and encouraged according to your level of experience and expressed desires with regard to which aspects of painting you are most interested in. The intended outcome is that each student gains confidence in their area of interest as well as the confidence to explore beyond the bounds of what they already understand the practice of painting to be.
The 6 weeks course will run over 7 weeks from Monday evening the 19th of September to Monday the 31st of October (NO CLASS ON 10 OCTOBER)
Each class will start at 6pm and finish at 9pm.
