FBNZ’s Family Business Essentials Workshop will provide you and members of your family with the opportunity to spend a three hour session focusing on the health of your family business, where you want to be and how you can harness your distinct competitive advantage to reach your goals. Facilitator: Jo Clayton

Jo is an experienced Director, Facilitator and Advisor who works primarily with privately owned businesses. She has been the Director of Leadership Development Programme at The Icehouse (Auckland University's business growth centre and partner to Owner Manager Australia) for nearly 15 years.

Jo is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Directors and an Associate of The Boardroom Practice Ltd which conducts reviews of board effectiveness and offers training and advisory for boards and directors. In addition to holding a number of board roles herself, she advises companies on their governance structures. She builds lasting relationships with clients, enabling them to take a more proactive approach to managing their businesses and leading their people in order to build the sustainability of their business.

Jo has worked with some significant family businesses in New Zealand including The Giltrap Group, Saint Clair Family Estate and Mulcahy Engineering. She understands the issues family business owners contend with, such as having to manage the day to day business whilst juggling family dynamics.
