Event description

Description

This two hour workshop is suitable for professionals who work directly with children with feeding difficulties and their whanau. We will cover the behavioural view of feeding difficulties, practical strategies to implement with families in home settings, and when to refer to further services. Plenty of role play with food will be involved!

Please note: due to time limitations this workshop will not focus on severe feeding difficulties such as total food refusal or feeding tube dependency. However, a number of strategies we will cover may be a useful starting point.

Sarah Leadley is a Psychologist and Board Certified Behaviour Analyst, who has worked in varied community settings with children and families. Recently, she completed a reserach study as part of a PhD, involving intensive home-based assessment and treatment for children dependent on tube feeding.
