Event description
At this Bootcamp, we'll look at the current state of rural connectivity and the value getting connected can bring to your farming business.

About this Event

The Rural Innovation Lab’s third farmer bootcamp is a collaboration with Federated Farmers.

Featuring:

  • Craig Young, CEO of Telecommunications Users Association of New Zealand
  • Andrew Hoggard, Federated Farmers National Vice President & Rural Connectivity Spokesperson
  • Alex Stewart, a 14 year old entrepreneur setting out to change the way farmers can access reliable, cost effective broadband through WombatNET - currently being supported by the Rural Innovation Lab
  • Senior technicians from Inspire Net & representatives from the Rural Connectivity Group

The afternoon will commence with a panel discussion, where speakers will provide a current state of play of rural connectivity. A workshop to explore opportunities, and questions to the panel will follow - we’ll unpack what’s important to you, what the priority areas are and what your farm could look like with good connectivity - then you can chuck your questions at the panel.

Join us for an afternoon of thought provoking discussion, workshopping, and a beer and a chat with your fellow farmers to wrap up!
