Fermenting Vegetables

is a project that supports & encourages local cottage industry ideas to emerge in Avondale by hosting & organizing events & workshops for locals to attend that have “Food / Sustainable / Upcycling  & Made local Theme“  utilizing the certified kitchen at the Avondale Community Centre.This local group was instigated from volunteers working within theAvondale Community Action (ACA)group. We are a small number, looking to work with other community groups and individuals.We have:A preserving kit,A screen printing kit.and a Community Dinner Event Kit.... all available to loan out to Locals for commuinty events.

<P><SPAN>Philippa Nielsen is going to give you an introduction to fermenting vegetables. This method is extending the 'shelf' life of vegetables but not only that. It's really good for your health.</SPAN></P>
<H2><SPAN><STRONG>Please bring:</STRONG> veges to chop (a whole cabbage, or a mix), salt, a grater and/or knife, a bowl and chopping board, plus a 1 litre bottling jar or similar...</SPAN></H2>
<P>Due to a lot of interest we will take peoples names for a waitlist and let people know of an alternative date.</P>
