Event description

Description

This ticket is for both Friday evening (7-9pm) Introduction to Open Floor Movement Meditation and Saturdays all day (10am-5pm) workshop 'Fire in Goodness.'

Do you have thoughts that limit your creative potential?

Do you want to be able to use strong energies like anger as a source of creativity and community building?

We have grown in a culture that tends to suppress strong energies like anger. Many of us can be afraid of stepping into our power. Yet these energies show us what we truly care about, they give us the energy for changing stuck limiting habits/beliefs.

This is a workshop that offers an antidote to the fragmentation we humans can feel. We will explore what it means to include everything, espcially the parts of ourselves we sometimes disown or reject. What would it mean to connect with the power of my ancestors, the far children, the living ecology and sources of inspiration?

Open Floor is a movement meditation, a way of embodying awareness that is fun, creative, enlivening. Jaime is a passionate teacher of meditation who uses music and movement to empower and inspire people towards joy, resiliency and confidence. You can come to this workshop as a beginner or as an experienced meditator/dancer. You only need the willingness to show up and trust the process.

The outcomes and aspirations of the workshop:

* Find and stand in your embodied power

* Transform limiting self beliefs

* Explore anger creatively with kindness and passion

* Release stress and struggle through dance

* Experience joy and sense of belonging to a wholesome community

* Deepen your understanding and practice of meditation/mindfulness through movement in the body. Nourishing ease and vividly awake and responsive.

Testimonial, Barbara Eisele workshop partcipant Nelson/Christchurch 2018:
"Jaime combines his great skills as a mindfulness teacher with facilitated dance exploration. He created a unique blend of meditation/mindfulness and using "dance and movement to get in touch with self, others and the world. He took us on a journey of discovery and connections and held the space for me to allow myself to get in touch with my inner truth. The exquisite choice of music/exercises created space to have fun, explore, and took me on a journey of self-discovery. I highly recommend this course to anyone who aspires to become more consciousness and who loves to be expressive with dance/ movement. The course has been a jewel for me and I loved the beautiful space that was provided by Jamie - inside and outside"
