We challenge you to Focus for Future and make a short film (5 mins max.).

Passionate about the Environment?

We challenge you to Focus for Future, make a short film (under 5 mins) and send it to us by 5pm, Monday 6th September 2021.

The competition is open to all, and people are encouraged to be as creative as they like, using any combination of animation, video or slides to carry their environmental message.

Attend the Awards Ceremony and screening of films on Friday 24 September at 6.00pm at the Lincoln Event Centre.

Organiser of Focus For Future - Selwyn Environmental Short Film Competition

Our Objectives:

  • To promote the long term environmental sustainability of the Selwyn District with the understanding that this is also the basis for social, cultural and economic sustainability in the future. 
  • To educate about and raise awareness of environmental sustainability issues and to provide information about how to achieve environmental sustainability. 
  • To provide appropriate opportunities for personal and community decision making to ensure that the environmental, social, cultural and economic sustainability of the Selwyn District is promoted. 
  • To act as a role model for other communities wanting to progress towards environmental sustainability.
