Keynote Speaker – Sarah Adams, Owner of Queen Anne Chocolates “Life is like a box of chocolates”
Let’s talk about chocolate…better still let’s taste and talk about chocolate! Growing up as part of the Adams baking family Sarah always had cake in her veins but she never imagined she would end up with a chocolate factory. In the immortal words of Forrest Gump (played by Tom Hanks in the 1914 movie) “Life is like a box of chocolates…you never know what you are going to get!” Sarah will share the challenges and successes of her Queen Anne chocolate adventures.
Amber Tilley – Health Facilitator at Synergy Health “Managing Stress and Building Resilience”
In today’s demanding environment, we can often find ourselves being pulled in many different directions – both at home and at work. This can often result in us feeling like we have no energy, ‘in a rut’ and feeling like we’re becoming more disillusioned by the day. Experiencing these symptoms only makes it more challenging to sustain high levels of performance – no matter how determined we are! Amber will discuss the key factors that most influence our ability to effectively manage stress and build resilience in all areas of our life.
Alanna Chapman – Co-founder of local social enterprise 27seconds
Based out of award-winning vineyard Terrace Edge, located in Waipara, 27seconds makes exceptional wine and donates 100% of its profits to survivors of modern-day slavery. Each bottle combats the alarming statistic that every 27 seconds, somewhere in the world, a vulnerable person is trafficked or sold into slavery. This statistic broke Alanna's heart and together with her husband Pete they decided to start this wine label to become part of the solution in a small way.
Doors open at 4.45pm, event starts at 5pm. 27seconds wine provided on arrival plus light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided courtesy of our Members and Foodstuffs.
Up to two drinks per person will be provided along with unlimited non-alcoholic drinks. Please be responsible: don’t drink and drive.
The event is open to all women of Foodstuffs, New World, PAK’nSAVE, Four Square, Raeward Fresh, Henry’s, On the Spot, TSI, Murdoch Manufacturing and Trents.
There is no cost to attend, however registration is essential, and places are limited by capacity, so first in, best dressed.
See you there!
