Force of Nature - Music celebrating Forest & Bird: Open Rehearsal
Date and time
Open rehearsal of new chamber music written especially to celebrate 100 years of Forest & Bird's conservation work in Aotearoa.
About this event
The open rehearsal is going ahead in the red traffic light setting, with safety protocols in place - please join us for this unique event.
This special music has been written by some of New Zealand's leading composers to celebrate iconic conservation organisation Forest & Bird. Each piece reflects an aspect of conservation of interest and concern to Forest & Bird, and to the composer. Played tonight by leading musicians including NZ Trio (Amalia Hall, Ashley Brown and Somi Kim), Peter Scholes, Kathryn Moorhead, Yoshiko Tsuruta and Rob Thorne.
Hamilton music audiences have exclusive access to hear the final rehearsal of this music, prior to recording on the 11th and 12th February. Centenary year performances will take place throughout New Zealand in 2023.
Tickets are free of charge, and we appreciate a koha on entry - the amount is at your discretion.
