Description

This course takes place over four weekly sessions from 11am to 1pm on Thursdays, starting May 9th and ending May 30th. Each session builds on the last so please come to all four sessions. Those who attend at least 3 of the 4 sessions will recieve a certificate of completion.

A supportive space for Muslim women to learn and practice simple, effective skills for safety in a range of situations with strangers in public, people we know and in our relationships. Learn about your rights; assert boundaries with words; break free from holds (standing and on the ground); defend against hijab grabs, physical techniques against a larger, stronger attacker; where to find support, ideas for supporting others and more!

No experience needed. All ages (16+) abilities and fitness levels warmly welcome. Interpreters available.
