Fiona Saunders is a queer, plus-sized, neurodivergent, dance-maker, in the process of creating her debut solo show, Strawberry Baby, which will premiere at Basement Theatre later this year from 19–23 August.

She invites you to a sneak peek at Friday Features on 16 May, where she’ll share around 20 minutes of material and would love your feedback, thoughts, and feelings to help shape the final work.

Strawberry Baby is a bold, camp, and colorful solo dance work that explores beauty standards, neurodivergence, and queerness through movement, humor, and expressive design. Set in a bright pink bedroom, this vibrant performance peels back the layers of societal expectations to reveal the intimate struggle of self-acceptance. Audiences are taken on a playful, rebellious, and thought-provoking journey through an immersive performance that challenges beauty norms while celebrating the joy of self-discovery.
