The Auckland Goethe Society is delighted to host our guest speaker event on Thursday 21st August at 7pm. The talk will be in English.

A Talk by Severin Soder: From Weimar to the World: The Legacy of Bauhaus

Who: Severin Soder was originally born in Austria and emigrated to New Zealand. He is an Architect and Urban Designer Principal at Architectus.

What: The story of the German art school, that was a cultural movement trying to reshape the relationship between art, design and everyday life. Severin Soder will discuss the Bauhaus’s holistic philosophy, its key figures, transformative nature and global reverberations.

When: Thursday 21st August, 7pm start.

Where: The University of Auckland (14A Symonds Street, CBD), Room 206-220. Building 206 is the Humanities Building. Lecture Theatre 220 is on Level 2.
