Join the Fujifilm community in celebrating photography in the lead-up to World Photo Day (19 August)!
From 10–19 August 2025, we’re bringing together image makers of all levels for a series of community events across the motu. Come along for photo walks, camera chats, creative inspiration and the chance to connect with like-minded people. Everyone’s welcome. See you there!
Starting point: Meet-up Location at the carpark located on the corner of Coronation Road and Waterfront Road at 10 AM
Registered attendees and Photo Club members may arrive from 9.45 for a free coffee by @moffee_nz
Bring your own camera, all camera brands welcome.
Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather.
Join the South Auckland Photo Club on their home ground at Māngare Bridge for a morning of photography and camera chats. The waterfront, bridge and scenic surroundings offer a multitude of photographic opportunities, while this welcoming group will have you keeping up for the chats.

About Geoffery Matautia
Geoffery (@southsides) is a Samoan-born photographer and creative based in South Auckland, whose work centers on uplifting Pasifika voices and celebrating community life. Founder of the community arts initiative Period7 and a member of the Raroboys collective, he’s known for projects like Front Yard Portraits, a powerful photo series capturing South Auckland families in their own driveways during lockdown. His first solo exhibition, Community Service: Family Portraits, premiered at Tautai Pacific Arts Trust in October 2023 and later appeared on large-scale billboards across Auckland, showcasing his ethos of service through art . Geoffery has collaborated with outlets like Re:News, JD Sports, and AUT, and served as the stills photographer on the award-winning documentary series Still Here. His striking images have been featured in New Zealand Geographic, Sunday, Viva, Metro, and Ensemble.
Since 2024, Geoffery has collaborated with Fujifilm NZ on various projects and events, notably the launch of the X-M5 and X-E5.
