From 10–19 August 2025, we’re bringing together image makers of all levels for a series of community events across the motu. Come along for photo walks, camera chats, creative inspiration and the chance to connect with like-minded people. Everyone’s welcome. See you there!
Starting point: Meet-up Location at Te Arawa Whare Waka, at the Ohinemutu end of the boardwalk at 9 AM
Bring your own camera, all camera brands welcome.
Please wear good walking shoes and dress for the weather.
Join us for a scenic photo walk through some of Rotorua’s most picturesque and culturally rich locations. The planned route begins at Ohinemutu and follows the Lakefront, winding through the stunning Government Gardens, past the Information Centre and library, before looping back via the vibrant Eat Street. Along the way, participants will have the opportunity to photograph a diverse range of subjects, from tranquil lake views and striking Māori art and architecture to lush gardens and dynamic urban scenes. The walk is expected to conclude around 11:00 AM.
