The Hospice New Zealand Fundamentals of Palliative Care is for Health Care Professionals.

(Not suitable for the general public)

If you have not already registered and started the online Fundamentals Programme, here is the registration link to enrol https://knowledgehub.hospice.org.nz/

* Please note the Pre-requisite to attend this workshop is to complete the modules 1 & 2 online self-learning.

The 5 self learning online modules are :

*1. Essence of Palliative Care,

*2. The Palliative Care Approach,

3. Managing Pain and Long Term Illness, which consists of two modules Pain,

4. Other Symptoms and Pharmacology, and Chronic Illness & Dementia.

5. The last module is Care and Support at the End of Life.

Once you have completed all the online modules and attend a Workshop, we can then award you the Hospice New Zealand certificate of Fundamentals of Palliative Care, which is 8 hours professional development.

Cost: Free to attend *Please bring your own Lunch (Tea and coffee is supplied and a light morning/afternoon tea) Light refreshments are also available for purchase onsite at our Manuka café opens from 0900 – 1300.
