Selected by an expert panel of judges, the finalists for this year's show will secure their place on the New Zealand fashion scene.

ABOUT FUTURE OF FASHION SHOWCASEOut of the 18 entries received for this year's Future of Fashion Show delivered by DHL, 8 were selected by the panel of industry professionals: NZFW creative director Dan Ahwa, photographer Holly Sarah Burgess (Ngāpuhi, Te Atihaunui-a-Paparangi), designer James Bush and creative Thistle Brown.

Each designer was selected for their potential to scale their business further and to reach a broad audience, along with a strong understanding of who they are as designers and their brand identity. 

While the selection process was challenging and the selectors were impressed by all the entries for their various perspectives, the final 8 represent a broad spectrum of talent that zeros in on the product itself and the brand identity.

From footwear to swimwear, there's a much more diverse mix of brands in this year's rescoped Next Gen show to further illustrate the importance of brand building in a fast-paced industry. Being able to cut through the noise is critical right now, and the top 8 display the raw talent that has real potential for growth.
