Understand the extensive database at your fingertips, and gain confidence in your ability to build models to support life cycle assessment and business decisions. Learn tips and techniques from our experts which will save you time, effort and improve the quality of your LCA projects.

Who should attend

This Jump Start training is suitable for new and future LCA practitioners. A basic understanding of Life Cycle Assessment would be helpful.

At the end of the training you will

  • Understand GaBi’s modular and intuitive process-based approach to modelling the life cycle of a product from cradle-to-grave.

  • Have confidence to build a simple product model to evaluate life cycle impacts in various impact categories (e.g. carbon, water, energy, emissions, waste, etc.)

  • Have confidence to assess simple scenarios using parameters.

  • Be familiar with common life cycle impact assessment methods (e.g. CML, ReCiPe, TRACI, ILCD/PEF)

  • Understand how GaBi’s dashboards can be used to quickly analyse results.

  • Have an awareness of the full GaBi Software Suite and the functionalities available for intermediate and advanced GaBi users.

What to bring

  • You will need to supply your own Windows-based laptop. We will provide a time-limited GaBi training license for you to install in advance of the training.

  • Morning tea will be provided. Lunch is not included.

Your trainer

Katharina Bauch has over 7 years’ experience in LCA, corporate sustainability reporting and environmental management. Katharina is Team Lead, Sustainability at thinkstep Australasia. She regularly trains GaBi users and LCA practitioners at all levels in Australia and New Zealand
