Gamification Lab
Event Information
Description
Bought to you by The Gamedojo, NZ Marketing magazine and Idealog.
The "gamification" of marketing and branding is here to stay. While many New Zealand brands have heard the buzzword and maybe experimented, it’s time to get serious. The Gamification Lab combines experienced marketers with experienced game designers and experience engineers for a ‘deep dive’ and hands-on exercises.
The Lab is split into two morning sessions, one week apart:
- Tuesday 26 June 9am-12noon
- Tuesday 3 July 9am-12noon
The Lab will go beyond abstract concepts to identify specific strategies that you can apply to your own marketing campaigns. You are encouraged to bring your own marketing problems or upcoming campaigns. During the second day we will work on these and help you develop a business case you can take back to your colleagues.
By the end you'll have a business case for applying gamification to your own brand communities.
Why attend?
Gamification is the application of game design principles and mechanics to non-game activities. The results are better sales conversion rates, retention, brand affect, social sharing and engagement with your brand.
In 2010 corporations spent USD$100 million on gamification. This number is expected to rise to $2.8 billion by 2016. We'll look at some of these international and local case studies.
The Gamedojo has partnered with NZ Marketing magazine and Idealog to bring you this opportunity to explore how to leverage the power of play to increase customer activity, build loyalty, broaden reach and monetise assets.
