Giving and Receiving Support: A Wellness Wānanga, Mental Health Week.
Thu 13 October 2016, 5:30 PM – 6:30 PM NZDT
How do you reach out to support your loved ones? How do we recognize a call for help? It's Mental Health Awareness Week, so we're throwing this tricky but crucial talking point on the table... and you're invited!
How can we support people in a way that is empowering for them, at any wellness level? How can you keep yourself well while supporting someone through mental distress? How can support be sustainable and rewarding for both parties?
How do you prepare yourself to ask for the help that you need in the moments when it's hardest to ask?
We love talking about what it takes to make wellbeing a priority. This is one from a series of wānanga offering a safe and facilitated space where we can come together to unpack our wellness experiences.
Join us for a cuppa and a conversation about what's on top, share tools and tips, and listen.
All welcome | $5 Koha for tea and vitamins. Wānanga from 5.30pm - 6.30pm. Teapot will be hot from 5pm!
You are welcome to make a full evening of it and stay to take this theme straight into Yoga at 6.45pm ($15) or wind down with Mindful Clay Sculpting at 8pm ($15) ... Just email firstname.lastname@example.org to book :)
