Vice-Chancellor Professor Cheryl de la Rey invites you to the 2021 Golden Graduates Afternoon Tea in celebration of 150 years since Ernest Rutherford’s Birth.

Reunite with old friends, reminisce about your time at the University of Canterbury, and discover something new about one of our most renowned alumni – the ‘Father of Nuclear Physics’.

Guest speaker: Dr John Campbell, retired physicist at the University of Canterbury will give a presentation on Ernest Rutherford titled ‘Celebrating 150 Years Since Ernest Rutherford’s Birth: Some facts you probably don’t know’.

Date: Monday 30 August 2021

Time: 3.30pm - 5.30pm

Where: The Great Hall, The Arts Centre, 2 Worcester Boulevard, Christchurch Central

Cost: $15

This event is operating under the Covid-19 traffic light system. Vaccination passes are a requirement for all attendees at this event including UC staff and speakers. All attendees must present an official My Vaccine Pass for scanning on entry to this event.
