GOVERNANCE BITES : To Be Confirmed
Event Information
About this Event
GOVERNANCE BITES are a series of free after-five events offering practical development opportunities in bite-sized pieces for 'time poor' and cash-strapped community leaders involved in non-profit boards in Canterbury, served up with pizza.
This session will cover "TBC"
What's the secret to governance that really makes a difference for non-profit organisations? In this interactive session you will learn how your Board can be less boring, and achieve more than just go through the motions or check up on what others are doing. Two important tools are offered to help make this possible, which provide the foundation for all the following Governance Bites sessions. Believe it or not, this doesn't involve a call to greater commitment or doing more and more work as board members.
These sessions are led by Garth Nowland-foreman, an experienced trainer and facilitator, and non-profit governance expert. Garth is a director of LEAD Centre for Not for Profit Governance and Leadership www.lead.og.nz.
Please note: While the Governance Bites workshops run as a series, each session can be attended as a standalone workshop if desired. Please register for each session you are interested in via the Volunteering Canterbury listings.
