Description

The University of Auckland celebrates the culmination of Autumn Graduation Week in style with the prestigious Grad Gala concert.

Four outstanding soloists from the School of Music will each perform a concerto with the University of Auckland Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Uwe Grodd, to compete for one of three prizes totalling $13,000.

The University of Auckland Massed Choir, directed by Dr Karen Grylls, will open the concert with a powerful performance of Gareth Farr’s Tirohia Atu Nei and Bach’s Come Sweet Death, arranged by Rhonda Sandberg. The Gala will also see performances from our jazz big band and popular music students.
