We invite you to join us for the Grief Centre’s National Conference on Loss and Grief in our Diverse Community.

About this Event

Aotearoa New Zealand is composed of many diverse communities of people within our wider community - each with special qualities and experiences. We are delighted to bring together these prominent speakers for a unique opportunity to increase our understanding when supporting people from diverse backgrounds.

We have some wonderful speakers covering the following topics:

  • Loss and Grief in the Disabled Community – Susan Sherrard
  • Loss, Grief, and the Changing Face of Relationship and Family – Margaret Agee
  • Loss and Grief and the LGBTQI community – Nathan Gaunt
  • Religion and the Loss and Grief Journey - Mary Caygill
  • Loss and grief in Chronic, Long-term, or Terminal Illness - Liese Groot-Alberts

This one day conference will be great opportunity to learn from these knowledgeable speakers and to network with other professionals working in the helping arena. All refreshments are provided throughout the day and we invite you to attend a drinks reception at the end of the day.
