In this workshop, we’ll explore some of the amazing real-life abilities of animals around which you can build characters, plots and adventures that your readers will love. We’ll dive into biology, physiology and ecology, using science to enhance the art of building great characters.

For ages 10+

Participants will get a $10 voucher to be spent at the Tamariki Book Festival on 13 July!

About the presenter:

Robinne Weiss is an author, educator and entomologist writing fantasy, science fiction, poetry and non-fiction for children and adults. Her most recent books include a YA fantasy series, Fatecarver; a children’s fantasy series, The Dragon Defence League; and some cosy urban fantasy for adults.
