Enjoy an hour of visting some of the city centre's Matariki light masterpieces. Follow the trail from the purple and green stars in Airedale Street to giant neon Te Reo words above Lorne Street outside the library and then to the fluoro neon breadbaskets of Taurima suspended above Elliott Street. Journey through Turama from the Aotea Square entry with its amazing kaitiaki to Te Wehenga, featuring hammerhead sharks at Shortland Street. Visit RA in Vulcan Lane on the way. Finish at Wharenui Harikoa in the Civic to explore and have FUN!

Auckland Live presents Wharenui Harikoa by Lissy & Rudi Robinson-Cole

At the Civic Theatre - Wharenui harikoa in Auckland for the first time - The life size wharenui (Māori meeting house) is made from 5,000 balls of brightly-coloured yarn and crotcheted by hand. Created by artists Lissy and Rudi Cole-Robinson, the wharenui has captured hearts and broken visitor records since it opened.
