Event description

Description

He Pī Ka Rere is a kori and kai (movement and nutrition) approach to nurture the development of under 5's within their early learning environments.

This approach is based on traditional techniques used by our tūpuna (ancestors) and engages tamariki in physical activity with a fun twist on Te Ao Māori (Māori worldview). The activities in the approach share direct links to Atua Māori (Māori Deities) and are modified to cater to tamariki ages and abilities whilst utilising the natural environment. It brings a new dimension of learning to kaiako (teachers), tamariki, and whānau whānui as they expand their knowledge of Māori culture and vocabulary.

Participants will get the opportunity to experience the programme first hand and leave with a fundamental understanding of the He Pī Ka Rere approach.

These workshops are popular and spaces are limited, so register today to save your spot.
