Insights and inspiration for a healthy and holistic lifestyle.

Listen to mental health and wellbeing expert, John Quinn, and renowned physio, Sharon Kearney, talk about how a healthy mind and healthy body can help ensure success and contentment in life.

John works full time as a counsellor with a focus on working with families and teenagers. He is an accredited Family Court counsellor and has been working with young people and their families for over 10 years. In addition, he has worked with elite athletes and teams for several years covering a wide range of sports and abilities, from club players to athletes who compete on the world stage at World Championships and Commonwealth Games. John wants to ensure that people and teams are equipped with the skills and tools to be able to flourish and not just “just the count the days but make the days count” ensuring that people are living a healthy lifestyle from the inside out.

Sharon is renowned for her role as the Silver Ferns physio whcih she held for many years before recently retiring and taking on the same role for the Tactix. Sharon has led the charge for netball in New Zealand to use the latest technology and sports science available to ensure optimum performances on the court. She understands better than most the importance of a healthy body and will talk about injury prevention, recovery, early specialisation and loading.

This talk is as relevent for parents as it is for students with all ages guaranteed to take away some great benefits. All proceeds will go to the SMC Sports Department as part of their fundraising.
